On the 15th /16th January, the partners  of  RE-ACT – Self-Reflection tools for Smart Universities acting regionally gathered to launch the project . The meeting was full of fruitful discussions around the concept and implementation of the project, but there was also time to visit the premises of Porto Business School, enjoy the good weather and strengthen relations among partners.

RE-ACT – Self-Reflection tools for Smart Universities acting regionally – is built on a multi-stakeholder’s approach that brings together key players into a hands-on atmosphere led by a consortium of 6 organisations from 6 countries, including 5 Higher Education Institutions (Porto Business School – PT, Corvinus University – HU, Technical University of Košice – SK, Babes-Bolyai University – RO, University of Macerata – IT) and Startup Europe Regions Network (SERN). This consortium has embraced the challenge to develop, test and scale-up the assessment tool HEINNOVATE for RIS3 and create an innovative tool that will support Higher Education Institutions (HEIs) to assess how responsive and engaged they are in the regional innovation ecosystem.

RE-ACT is a forward-looking cooperation project, funded by the ERASMUS+ programme and led by Porto Business School. The project will engage all actors of the triple helix to underpin their collaborative work for smart specialisation strategies and offer peer support to networks from other regions. Among other resources, the consortium will develop an online self-reflection tool and supporting resources, capacitation programmes for HEIs and regional actors, a methodological approach for triple helix actors to collaborate inside the innovation ecosystem and a white paper with policy recommendations.
