Technical University of Kosice, Slovakia, organised a series of events in March and April 2022 connected to the regional multi-stakeholders’ engagement and capacitation. Two meetings with local authorities have been done. Due to the still unfavourable Covid 19 situation in Slovakia, the meetings have been organised in Science Park premises, but most participants participated online. The first meeting has been organised for altogether 21 people. The second event has been organised fully online with 28 participants. During the meetings the presentation of REACT project and also presentation of importance of HEI being involved in RIS3 have been emphasised.  The role of HEI in regional ecosystem was explained as well. The results of self-assessment have been presented and also the joint positioning of HEIs has been pointed out. The mutual discussion on the recommendations in order to fine-tune and finalise the document was carried out. In April two regional events have been carried out. The regional workshop with altogether 16 participants (online/offline) and a multi-stakeholder regional event on RIS3 with 76 persons taking part. The Workshop served as a tool for the further tuning of the results. The discussion showed that knowledge interaction between firms and universities depends on whether the collaborating firms are embedded in a globalised knowledge economy, whether they have developed strategies and procedures for their own learning, and whether the universities themselves have the quality and capacity to build.
